Brown shirt
Hot Glue
Tan foam mattress pad
Construction paper
Permanent marker
Compass
Brown slacks
Assemble Your Own Taco Costume
Lay out your mattress pad on the floor and cut the corners into a rounded shape. When you fold the mattress in half, it should resemble a taco shell. Next, open the mattress again and lie down on top of it. Have a friend use a permanent marker to mark where your underarms and shoulders lie. Use the compass to create two circles where you marked the shoulders and underarms. Cut the circles out to create arm holes.
Crumple green and red construction paper into balls to represent lettuce and tomato. Use a hot glue gun to attach the and construction paper balls to the front of your shirt and pants. Hot glue strips of yellow construction paper on top to represent grated cheese. Dress in your brown shirt and slacks. Put your arm holes through the foam taco shell in order to secure the mattress on your body and encase your “meat” and “fillings” into the taco shell.

Make Your Own Sarah Palin Halloween Costume
Start by fixing your hair or wig into Sarah’s classic up-do style. Pull the sides of the wig towards the back of your head with your fingers and twist the hair in an upwards motion, securing it with a hair clip. You can also purchase an up-do wig with bangs to save extra time and make for an instant last-minute costume.
Once your hairdo is in place, wear the pantyhose and business suit to create the trademark Sarah Palin look. For extra effect, choose a suit in classic conservative Red and select red high heels to match. Use eyeliner and mascara to ensure your eyes “pop” from beneath the rectangular eyeglasses, and brush blush from your cheekbones to your chin to create a high-cheekboned effect. Decorate and cut out a circle of cardboard and attach the safety pin to the back of it to wear a McCain-Palin campaign button or a lapel pin proclaiming that you’re a “Hockey Mom!”
Spread Out Your Own Peanut Butter & Jelly Sandwich Costume
This nostalgic Peanut Butter & Jelly Sandwich costume will bring partygoers back to the days of lunchboxes and cafeteria trays. Easy and fun to assemble, this outfit makes a great project to put together with your children.
Peanut Butter & Jelly Sandwich Costume Materials:
Brown paint
Hole punch
Purple or red tempera paint
White poster board (4x)
Pen
Scissors
Elastic
Duct tape
Glue
Making a Peanut Butter & Jelly Sandwich Costume
Draw a bread-slice shape on one of the pieces of poster board and cut with scissors. Repeat to create a duplicate shape. On each cutout, draw an interior line mimicking the shape of the bread. Color this outer region in with the brown tempera paint to create a crust-like effect.
On two more pieces of poster board, draw huge amoeba-like shapes. Paint one light brown and one purple or red to represent peanut butter and jelly. Glue the “jelly” shape underneath the first piece of bread, so that the “crust” you’ve drawn is showing on the outside, with a jelly outline protruding from the underneath. Repeat this process with the second bread cutout and the peanut-butter cutout. Use the hole punch to create two holes at the top of each piece and use the elastic to create a sandwich board effect, tying the sides to the opposing board. Poke your head through the hole and feast your eyes on the results!
